Third-party decoder notice

EkkySoft uses the icodec 0.6.0 HEIC/HEIF decoder module. The decoder is loaded as two separate same-origin files: heic-dec.js and heic-dec.wasm. The wasm module contains libheif 1.19.1 and libde265 1.0.15, each distributed under LGPL-3.0-or-later. icodec is MIT-licensed. The included notice and source archive contain the license texts, exact upstream source revisions, decoder-only build recipe, relevant application worker source, and instructions to rebuild and substitute the decoder files.

https://ekkysoft.com/third-party/icodec/NOTICE.md

The source archive records the versions.json metadata and explains that upstream icodec v0.6.0's generic build script names libheif 1.19.2, whereas the npm package's versions.json records 1.19.1. A decoder-only build recipe is included for the package-recorded 1.19.1 revision. That recipe has not been executed in the EkkySoft environment, and a bit-for-bit rebuild has not been verified. The distributed wasm SHA-256 is in the archive.

EkkySoft's worker loads the glue module from /third-party/icodec/heic-dec.js; the generated glue resolves the adjacent /third-party/icodec/heic-dec.wasm. Replacing these two files with a compatible modified build allows the decoder implementation to be substituted without rebuilding the framework's application bundle. The source archive includes the corresponding adapter/worker source for this integration.

JPG/PNG-to-HEIC encoding is disabled. No x265 encoder binary is distributed by this tool. Licensing of codec software does not resolve any patent questions that may apply to HEVC use; no legal conclusion is made here.
