Numbers use a readable built-in Helvetica font and a consistent size. The source document stays unchanged.

Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Saving may remove or change forms, annotations, bookmarks, digital signatures, and some metadata. Review the output before relying on it. Input is limited to 20.0 MB and 500 pages; output is capped at 100.0 MB.

Supported file

Use one readable PDF up to 20 MB and 500 pages. Empty, damaged, encrypted, or password-protected documents are not supported. Generated output is capped at 100 MB.

Local processing

The PDF is held temporarily in browser memory and processed in a local Web Worker. EkkySoft does not receive the document through this tool, and the file is not saved to browser storage.

Document limitations

Page numbers are added to the document content and may overlap text or graphics close to the bottom margin. Changes create a new PDF; interactive forms, annotations, bookmarks, digital signatures, and some metadata may not carry over.

Questions and troubleshooting.

Can I number only some pages?

Yes. Enter a page list or ranges such as 1-5,8. Selected pages receive consecutive numbers in document order.

Can the number start at a different value?

Yes. Enter a whole starting number from 1 to 999,999.

Can I use a custom font or top position?

This version uses a built-in Helvetica font and places numbers along the bottom edge. Custom fonts and top positions are not supported.

Are my PDFs uploaded?

No. The file is read into temporary browser memory and processed in a local Web Worker. The conversion does not submit it to an EkkySoft endpoint.

Will forms and signatures remain?

Not necessarily. Saving the document can change interactive forms, comments or annotations, bookmarks, digital signatures, and some metadata. Verify the output before relying on it.
