Compress a PDF while keeping its text and vectors.
Choose a quality setting and create a smaller PDF copy on this device. Text and vector content remain PDF content; image savings depend on the source file.

Review the result
Compression depends on what is inside the PDF. The tool checks the output size before offering a download.
No smaller file is found? The original stays untouched, and a larger candidate is discarded instead of being called compressed.
Saving a new PDF can affect forms, annotations, bookmarks, and some metadata. Existing digital signatures will no longer validate after the file is rewritten. Review the downloaded copy before relying on it.
Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Input is limited to 20.0 MB, 500 pages, 150 image objects, and 30 megapixels of recompressed images. Output is capped at 100.0 MB.
Your PDF is processed locally in a Web Worker. It is not uploaded to EkkySoft, sent to analytics, or saved in browser storage.
Add one readable PDF up to 20 MB and 500 pages. The document is checked locally before compression.
Choose image quality.
Balanced keeps more image detail. Smaller file uses stronger JPEG recompression and may soften fine image details.

See the original and output sizes. A result is offered only when the generated PDF is smaller.
Supported file
Use one readable PDF up to 20 MB and 500 pages. Empty, damaged, encrypted, or password-protected documents are not supported. Generated output is capped at 100 MB. Compression targets up to 150 supported image objects and 30 megapixels total. It does not downsample images.
Local processing
The PDF is held temporarily in browser memory and processed in a local Web Worker. EkkySoft does not receive the document through this tool, and the file is not saved to browser storage.
Document limitations
Supported unmasked DeviceRGB and DeviceGray images may be re-encoded as JPEG. Other images are left as they are. Text and vectors are not rasterized, but image quality can change; rewritten signatures no longer validate. Review the output.
Questions and troubleshooting.
Will every PDF become smaller?
No. PDFs with little or no supported raster imagery may change very little, and some already compact files have no smaller result. A larger candidate is discarded and is not presented as compressed.
Does compression flatten searchable text or vector graphics?
No. The tool rewrites supported embedded RGB or grayscale images while keeping page text and vector content in PDF form. Images with masks, unsupported color profiles, or formats are left unchanged.
Are PDFs uploaded?
No. Processing takes place in a local browser Web Worker. EkkySoft does not receive the file through this tool.
Will signatures, forms, or metadata be preserved?
A rewritten PDF can affect forms, annotations, bookmarks, and metadata. Existing digital signatures no longer validate after the file is rewritten. Review the result before relying on it.
Can I compress an encrypted PDF or choose image dimensions?
Encrypted PDFs are not supported. This version recompresses supported images but does not downsample their pixel dimensions.
