Compress image files.

Choose JPG, PNG, or WebP images, set the output format and quality, then compare the new file size before downloading. Compression runs in a temporary browser worker; image files are not uploaded.

Changing format or quality can change the image appearance. Transparent pixels become white when exporting JPG. This tool does not promise a smaller file for every image.

Choose up to five JPG, PNG, or WebP images.

Your selected images will appear here.

Each image is checked before it enters the queue.

Files are processed in a temporary browser worker and are not uploaded. Image metadata is not copied into the exported file.

How it works

Choose the balance that works.

  1. Choose your images.

Add up to five JPG, PNG, or WebP images. Each file and its dimensions are checked before processing.

  2. Set format and quality.

Choose JPG or WebP and adjust the quality slider. Lower quality usually means a smaller file, with more visible image changes.

  3. Review each result.

Compare the original and output byte sizes. A result can be larger; download only the files that meet your needs.

Formats

Formats and behavior

JPG, PNG, and WebP in; JPG or WebP out. PNG source images can be converted to either lossy output format. WebP can retain transparency; JPG uses a white background.

Privacy

Private browser processing

Image data stays in this browser tab and is passed to a temporary worker on your device. EkkySoft does not receive the file. Canvas re-encoding does not copy the source EXIF/GPS metadata.

Limits

Clear processing limits

Up to five images, 10 MB each, 25 MB combined, 16 megapixels per image and 30 megapixels across the batch. Each output is capped at 20 MB.

Help and troubleshooting

Keep the result that looks right.

  • The output is bigger.Already-optimized images may grow when re-encoded. Try WebP or a lower quality, and keep the original if it looks better.
  • The picture looks different.JPG and WebP compression are lossy. Raise quality to preserve more detail, or stop and use the original.
  • Transparency changed.WebP can preserve transparent pixels. JPG cannot; the transparent areas are composited onto white.

Common questions

Before you export an image.

Will every image become smaller?

No. Some images are already optimized or use a format that does not compress well with the selected settings. The tool reports the resulting size so you can decide whether to keep it.

Is the compression lossless?

No. JPG and WebP output from this tool use lossy quality settings. Keep the original when preserving every pixel is important.

Are image files uploaded?

No. The browser reads and converts selected images locally. No image upload or remote conversion request is made by the tool.

Does compression keep EXIF or GPS data?

The image is re-encoded through a browser canvas. Source EXIF/GPS metadata is not copied into the output.
